RedCanoe Productions in association with Vision-TV are proud to
present: COME INTO THE PARLOUR
a new weekly 13-part series on 19th century music.
Sundays at 9:30 pm ET (Begins January 4)
Mondays at 4:30 pm ET (Begins January 5)
Wednesdays at 9:30 pm ET/PT (Begins January 7)
The fire's lit, the guests have arrived, and soprano Carolyn Sinclair
and pianist Michael Jarvis and their friends are ready for an evening
of great music. Join them around their original 1857 Chickering square
piano and enjoy popular and classic music from the 19th century. From
favourites such as "I Dream of Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair" to
Gilbert and Sullivan to your favourite melodies of the great composers,
Come into the Parlour features the greatest hits from the 1800s and
some of Canada's finest singers and instrumentalists. Mezzo-soprano
Kimberley Barber, violinist Julie Baumgartel, mezzo-soprano Jo-Anne
Bentley, baritone Russell Braun, tenor Benjamin Butterfield, baritone
Peter Fisher, 'cellist Margaret Gay, baritone Bruce Kelley, guitarist
Terry McKenna, clarinettist Colin Savage, violinst Mayumi Seiler, tenor
Eric Shaw, and tenor John Tessier, are among those who'll be taking a
break from the world's opera and concert stages for a visit.
Prize-winning students David Peaker, piano; Nicholas Delbaere-Sawchuck,
violin; Sarah Lettieri, soprano; Benjamin Ma, piano; and Zoe Band,
soprano from the Glenn Gould Professional School, the Royal
Conservatory of Music and the Kiwanis Music Festivals will bring the
best of young Canadian talent to the festivities. Come Into the
Parlour, we're saving you a place around the piano."

WORLD PREMIERE
Monday, Dec. 22, 9 p.m. and 12 a.m. ET
In this hour-long holiday special, join Carolyn, Michael and their
guests mezzo Jo-Anne Bentley, baritone Peter Fisher, Kiwanis Music
Festival winners Sarah Lettieri, soprano, and Benjamin Ma, piano, as
well as renowned Canadian tenor Benjamin Butterfield, around their
original 1857 Chickering parlour grand as they sing some of the most
beloved Christmas favourites from the 19th century. Come into the
Parlour for Christmas, we'll save a place for you by the fire!
