Ok, I found this error (and fixed)
When running the 'rebuild the entire intranet'
my logs said I had an error blah blah, which eventually turned out to be
that line 17 of clearnandrebuild.pl was calling "sciintra_conf.pl" The file
doesn't exist in that dir, so I changed line 17 to read:
require "../sciintra_conf.pl" which fixed it.

Nope, that was silly.
I reran it, and all the default file permissions are back, and the user www
aclparse error came back.
I will dig into the scripts in a bit.

I noticed the phonebook was missing. (I know I said 'yes' I reinstalled, and
here is an error I had noticed and forgotten about before:
-bash: createuser: command not found (twice) I assume I must be in the
/usr/local/pgsql dir for this script to run proeprly. Perhaps it expects to
find something in the path and it isn't explicitly specifying the path. I
didn't add anything to the path, I just edited the ld.so.con file as per the
magazine article.
