Pedantically speaking, PCMCIA (also called PCCard) is a 16-bit bus,
while CardBus is a 32-bit Bus. PC Cards will fit and work in a
CardBus slot, but CardBus cards will not fit in a PCCard slot.

As a minor practical matter of identification, CardBus cards have a
gold-lated strip at the connector end, PCCards don't.
