[Wftl-lug] Has anyone?

Hello Raul,

Thanks! My old `Frankenstein` computer bit the dust about six or so
months ago. I was split in making a decision to either purchase a Mini
ITX or a Mac Mini. Since I work with Xservers at work as a backup OS X
systems administrator I needed the capability to dual boot. Windows
has never touched this little computer.

I've played with several distributions on a second partition but never
really decided on one. I picked up The Linux Format magazine and it
had a double-sided DVD with Debian on it. I was going to try it. I
chose to install Kubuntu about an hour ago.

Linux just plain rocks on a Mini. It is basically an Intel-based PC
now with some minor hardware differences. The speed of Linux on a Mini
is actually faster than OS X and has never crashed or locked up while
in Linux.

I live in New Mexico and work in education. I don't make much money. I
literally skipped breakfast and lunch for six months to purchase my
next machine. It was about $620 after taxes and shipping.

I have a hard time when I see students abuse their laptops and
computers  which their parents purchased. Most have absolutely no
appreciation of the technological marvel they carry or use. It would
be nicer if I lived closer to a larger city where there was more
people with what they consider junk. Linux is a software miracle.
