hi

There was a discussion today that was podcast about OOXML versus ODF. You
can find out more about it here:

http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=07/12/03/1730216

There is an IRC channel where the topic was being discussed. I wanted to
try to log onto IRC, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. The only IRC
server that I have ever used it Freenode. So I can't figure out what was
the server, and what was the channel, and how to log on. Here is a summary,
along with a link for the full context. Thanks in advance:

You will be able to call in by phone at (646) 595-3863 (US non-toll-free
number active only during the show) to participate directly in the live
conversation or, if you prefer, you can post questions here for us to ask on
your behalf. You are also invited to join us @ irc.linux.com, #linux.com.
This channel is already active, and will be live well after the one-hour
show ends in case you want to continue the discussion.
