Hi Raul:

I got caught by this one last year.  What I think is happening is that
konqueror, or a plugin/helper program, is faking all of that info based
upon the actual content of the CD, which, someone correct me if i'm wrong
please, is in a "raw" PCM format.  If your machine is a bit old (=slow), I
think you will find that copying MP3's from the CD actually takes some
time, probably due to the encoding that is occuring in real time.  

Neatly tricky eh?
