What format(s) are they in?  Could you simply burn
them to a series of DVDs and play them that way?  Many
newer DVD players (even cheap ones) can play "raw"
video in a variety of formats, including DiVX, MPEG,
MPEG2, and MPEG4 without requiring a menu or
"standard" DVD structure-- at the very least, such a
player is cheaper than the other solutions suggested--
and with blank DVDs at 25¢ each or less, quite a bit
more flexible.
