While there will certainly be some good that comes from the health and
education grants funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation,
remember that the technologies implemented in these programs will invariably
be based on software from Bill Gate's company. It gives them some
predominance in emerging markets that currently are depressed, but as they
mature will be predisposed (and often tied to) Microsoft technologies. So
that's bad.
