Hi:
For those people interested in donating/shipping computers to the Spanish speaking segment of Latin America, (or Latinos in America itself), please consider the following link, and all the other links therein:

Postings on this LUG tweaked my investigative interests. And, I will be downloading it. I "play" with distros, the way "others" play with DVD movies, sort of.
Also, this distro will mail copies all across the world, a la "ubuntu/kubuntu", if one so desires, filling out their template for support.
For those wondering about shipping something with the name "ubuntu" on it, this may be the solution: "Extremadura" has a beautiful ring in the Spanish Language, having the roots "Extreme or Extremely" and "Hard or Tough". The official title of the distro is gnuLinEx2006. It comes with Gnome, and has some beautiful samples of the power of Oo, and some other very desireable features and properties. (I'm sort of impressed, however Confuzzios says: "The proof of the Pudding is always in the Eating". Very sad, but very True!!
The distro is based on Debian 3.1, (thanks God!!), Debian being easier and more reliable to operate, (in my view), when compared to the "rpm distros".
I do not know whether the distro speaks any other languages besides Spanish, but I'll find out. I have to swap drives before loading this distro. But it will be loaded on a 5+ year old HP Pavilion, (which "HP Support" from India considers too old to merit any advice or support) -> This advice comes from India, of all places!! What's this world coming to???
"a revederce roma"!! signed -> "The New Bee"
