[Wftl-lug] Microsoft Project Open source alternative?

Does anyone know of an open source solution alternative to Microsoft
Project that will open their file format? (.mpp files) I'm simply
looking for an application that will open the microsoft file so that I
may have read-only access to it without installing the MS software.

I apologize if this has been asked and answered before, but based on
my quick searching of our list, I couldn't find anything.
